Built to Help Our Neighbors

Longs Peak Wildfire Mitigation was started to assist in the state’s natural disaster crisis, bridging the gap between individual homeowners and insurers with data driven solutions. We act as an independent evaluator, with expertise in the construction and wildfire suppression industries. This experience gives us the edge to produce intentional tactics to properly protect your home while giving direction to tree trimmer and construction companies.

Real Experience, Practical Solutions

  • Wildland Fire Experience: Previously working in primary fire response means we understand how fire moves through local terrain, where homes are vulnerable, and what steps actually stop a fire.

  • Rooted in Engineering Principles: A technical and engineering principled foundation ensures our assessments and recommendations follow the updated Wildland Urban Interface codes and local guidelines.

Peace of Mind

An insurance notice shouldn't feel like a dead end. Our goal is to take the stress out of the process. We provide clear assessments, proper documentation, and solid defensible space work so you can meet insurance requirements and feel secure in your home.

Here to Save You Money

While companies who perform the work can bid on your property, we offer independent and objective advice to protect your home. We provide methods of the highest efficiency to bolster your Home Ignition Zone, improve Home Hardening, and decrease insurance costs - without the uncertainty of contractor upsells. You receive itemized improvement suggestions and directives for your contractor to handle.

We’re different than the local tree trimmers.

Bryson founded Longs Peak Wildfire Mitigation to bridge the gap between frontline firefighting and helping homeowners prepare for future fires. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and brings a strong background in high-rise construction management alongside hands-on experience as a wildland firefighter. This dual perspective allows him to approach wildfire hazard assessments through a practical, data-driven lens.

On the fire line, Bryson observed firsthand how fire moves across terrain and ignites structures under extreme conditions. Today, he pairs that frontline insight with civil engineering principles and advanced spatial modeling. His goal is simple: deliver clear, audit-ready mitigation strategies that empower property owners and satisfy strict insurance underwriting requirements.

Bryson lives in Colorado and spends his free time in the mountains as an avid outdoorsman, mountain athlete, and backcountry enthusiast. Outside of work, you can find him pedaling a mountain bike, ripping down a ski slope, or climbing up Boulder Canyon.
